Festival Crafty Goodness
My other post about the Pork Festival was getting long so I thought I’d separate the crafty stuff from the personal stuff.
Croaking Wood-carved Frogs
First up is these amazing little carved frogs that croak.

You run the little stick over their backs and it makes a croaking sound. The bigger the frog, the deeper the croak. They range in size from baby palm size to a big one about the size of a football.
The little ones actually sound a little more like crickets. Bigger is definitely better with these!
Now I asked if they have a website, and they don’t, but they do take mail orders via email. To find out more, contact Jeff Huebner at frogbobby {at} ymail.com:
Cool Crochet
Then I walked by this crochet booth, which surprised the heck out of me because usually crochet/knit crafts are pretty hum-drum at these small town fairs (a never-ending sea of hot pads and kitchen towels with crochet loop tops).

Their hats and other things were SO cute, and very well made. I had just enough time to sneak in and touch a few and grab a business card.
When I got home, I looked them up and they’re on Etsy! They also sell patterns, of which my favorite is this crazy adorable monkey blanket that I’m definitely making for the next baby shower that comes around.

Lisa’s Pie in a Jar!
I so wanted to take one of these home but I was down to my last $5.00 and I really wanted an elephant ear more. Lisa’s Pie Shop is a local wonder. Lisa has a really cool story behind the company you should read.

I just love her idea of canning a pie. They take a whole pie, crust and all, and blend it up into a jar. They suggested warming it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or even use it as a jam!
You can order online through her website (which I plan to do for us, and for Christmas gifts).
