Pajama Makeover
When I first brought the twins home and I joined my local support group for parents of multiples, I learned this trick from a mom of triplets. I chuckled, thinking I’d never need to go that far, but I’m eating my words now!
So the twins are both stripping themselves naked every night. They won’t leave their diapers on and end up peeing (hopefully just) all over themselves by morning. So I resorted to this mom’s trick. Cut the feet off the footie pajamas and turn them ’round backward.
Now they can’t unzip them! Silly, I know, but such a life saver. Cut just below the elastic at the ankle and then cut a V where the tag is in the back so it doesn’t choke the neck. If you’re worried about the integrity of your footie pajamas… I would advise against having kids. :)

Oh my goodness! Now that is absolute brilliance! I wouldn’t have ever thought of doing that.
Brilliant! We had to do the same thing for our son.
I love it! Actually, about a year ago, our Mercy (then 3) used to love to wear her jammies backwards. My husband would put them on her every night and somehow she had her feet in correctly, then twist the pjs around and zip in back. She wore them that way every night for months, so I guess she was comfortable, and no cutting was needed!
OM-Goodness! How cute … and how funny that this post just popped on my facebook being that I’m that triplet mom that gave you that advice. So sorry, you had to use it, but hey, it works!
Miss talking to you!

Tanya!
I was trying to remember your blog to link to you, but it’s been a long time. Thanks for the comment! And thank you for the tips…. i seem to remember some advice about potty training. We should talk! :)
Thank you so much for posting this great idea! My first was not a stripper, but I have a feeling our second might be!
Oh how funny! I wish I had been that clever – my twins will be 17. The fun and games is never boring with twins. Posted your pretty pencils today on my blog. take a peek- pve design
Ha ha ha! I loooooove this. Sending this to my sister now, who’s been having just this issue. Genius!
That is a great trick! We had to take it a bit further and use duct tape on the diapers so our twins wouldn’t be able to pull their diapers off when they eventually learned how to remove the backwards (and inside-out, to hide the zipper fob) pajamas! Good luck and god’s speed. Oh, and night vision!
so funny you say that – I saw WHITE duct tape the other day and almost picked it up for that purpose! During the day there is no back zipper outfit. :)
