A Day at the Park
So this week we went to the park and stayed home the rest of the time. It turns out I had a lot of deisgn work to do this week so because I used nap times to do that I had to stay home and take care of other things like laundry, dishes, etc, instead of taking the kids out. BUT… we did get out Wednesday because the weather was just so good, and it was our day with Janelle and Annabelle.
Every batch, I say this one’s my favorite, but this one really is my favorite!
Normally Emma is the photo girl, always has big eyes, but today it was Olivia.
We haven’t been able to get to the park much lately because it has been so, so hot! It was so beautiful the other day–I’m glad we got to go out. We took a quilt and lay it down by one of the big trees and we sat and watched Audrey Anna play.
Emma, in charge of the Cheerios.
I happened to meet a woman there who had twins–in 1960! It was hilarious, the stories she told, one in particular of how she told the doctor over and over she knew she was having twins because she could feel them (much how I remember Emma kicking me in the ribs all the time). He just said it was a big baby. When the first one came out at 5lbs, he was stunned, but it still took them an hour to figure out there was another one!
What miracles of medicine we have today and I’m so grateful. Anyway, she is now raising her great-grand-children and she was watching them play at the park too. As it happens, her little girl is starting kindergarten at the same school as Audrey Anna in a few weeks! So, they might be in the same class. Here they are with her little brother.
Audrey was so excited for me to take a picture of her and her “best friend” she just met.
Oh, & another thing…
I finally had a minute to figure out how to set up the photo albums in our Gallery so that you can order prints! As you browse the pictures, you’ll now see an “add to cart” button and you can order pictures through Shutterfly.
It’s pretty “fly” actually - when you add a picture to your cart, there’s a link that reads “add more pictures” and it takes you right back to the page you were on (in our site)! Very cool. With any of the new pictures you should be able to order any size - even huge 20 inchers if you wanted to!
Sometimes though, you’ll notice it will say “not ok, resolution to small” or something like that. It’s because my original image isn’t big enough. Either it’s an old photo before I got my digital camera, or it’s a photo I took when I accidentally had the settings wrong–unbelievable, I know, but it happens. :)
So order as many as you like - they’re only $0.19 for a 4×6! — plus shipping, though. :( And of course, please let me know if you find a picture with you or your child that happens to be in the photo and you don’t want it published. This site is hopefully only viewed by family and friends and I’ve tried hard to keep it that way, but I will absolutely take any photo down that you don’t want people to see.
