I still like the first one better :D

And a bit off topic:I think my favorite part of your lovely redesign is how all the links on the side and in the “keywords” section are block level elements. It just makes things so much easier to navigate and has more than once enticed me into searching the archives a little bit deeper.

Thanks, me too. And about the block links… I agree (of course), much easier and clickable. :)

I think this was a great addition to your diagram! I have to admit I was having a little bit of a hard time sorting out the meaning of the first one, but I think I’ve got it now.

The fact that one CSS file could govern dozens of HTML pages was one of the first things that drew me to CSS—web standards or no web standards. I spent enough hours going through and changing details on every single page of my early sites to appreciate that. ;)

The orignal worked just fine for me, but a nice “expanded edition”.

Both diagrams are great as far as I am concerned and have already helped me not sound like a raving idiot when talking to cients. Less blank faces staring at me when trying to explain about web standards. Sometimes you just need a visual representation.
